Parliamentarians discuss whether the state is set up to deliver major infrastructure projects
The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Project Delivery and the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Infrastructure held a joint roundtable in Parliament to discuss whether the state is set up to deliver the infrastructure constituents need.
The session brought together parliamentarians and stakeholders to hear from Professor Graham Winch of Alliance Manchester Business School, who presented findings from his new report exploring international lessons on infrastructure delivery agencies within the civil service.
Nearly a year on from the publication of the Government’s 10 Year Infrastructure Strategy, attendees discussed what the UK can learn from international examples, including France, the Netherlands and Denmark, and how government can better equip the state to deliver major infrastructure projects effectively.
